Teater Tre on the international stage
Through our newly acquired membership in the EU network Small size we’ve been approved substantial support from the EU. The coming four years Teater Tre will be part of the project Small Size - performing arts for early childhood.
In October 2014 we participated in the DeBetovering festival in The Hauge and our show Blocks (for children 3-6 years) was also chosen to take part in Swedstage in November 2014. In february 2015 we visited New York and Brooklyn Academy of music for eight sold out performances of Blocks.
For many years now, Teater Tre has been touring abroad. Our creative excursions take us all over the world, from Uganda, Germany, USA, Finland, Austria and Japan, to Namibia and The Netherlands. Sometimes to big festivals, sometimes to smaller venues through more frequent collaborations, extending over longer periods of time.
Our goal is to reach out to all children, regardless of their social or cultural background and affiliation. We do this through a universal stage language that is characterized by few words and a great deal of movement. Our performances all have themes from everyday life that everyone, young and old, can identify with.
It is the goal of Teater Tre to put Swedish theatre for children and youth on the world map. We want to arouse our audience’s curiosity for the theatre and for their own creativity. We to develop more international connections and make it easier for stage performers all over the world to share their experiences.
Touring gives us the opportunity to be inspired and learn new ways of looking at the world. And meeting colleagues with diverse artistic expressions enriches our creativity and sets the stage for new constellations and continued creative development for the benefit of our young audience.
Teater Tre are also happy to invite international guest appearances to our home stage in Stockholm.
